Each month we will have a Special Feature - a project that has played a significant role to Grant and the team. We will feature film, television, the theatre and every other area that grantmasonfx are asked to look at in the world of special effects and props. We hope that you will find this informative and educational, be you a Director looking to create the next blockbuster or a student of art and design.

As well as the Special Feature, you can also view hi-res images of work created by grantmasonfx. Feel free to send us feedback on what you find interesting, gruesome or just plain odd!

We have split this area into three categories; prosthetics, props and creatures. By clicking on the thumbnail you will be able to view a hi-res of the image in question. Enjoy . . .

This months Special Feature ... the world of Advertising!

Denholm_advert Female head

In 2003 grantmasonfx were commissioned to create two decapitated heads (one male and one female) to advertise the Edinburgh based recruitment company Denholm Associates. The headline reads, " We can always get our hands on the right head", which featured in 'The Drum', a magazine for the Design and Marketing sector in the UK. The campaign lasted several weeks and was deemed a great success.
